Image Transfers has been working with Mark Lawton of Lawton Audio. Mark did not have their logo as vector artwork so we re-created it by researching the font and matching the kerning. We made custom dry transfers for their custom wood headphones using their company graphics and artwork, producing for them the custom dry transfers they needed to finish off their awesomely designed headphones.
Custom Transfers for Wood
Finished wood has an ideal surface for applying our dry transfers. We make dry transfers from any company logo, custom graphic or trademark label. Our transfers can be applied to any smooth finished wood surface: from custom models & replicas, wood sculptures & art, to personalized or monogrammed musical instruments.
Making Transfers Permanent
Our dry transfers are semi-permanent, but with another coat of wood finish, our rubdown transfers become completely permanent and durable for years. Lawton audio made three versions of transfer sheets, they ordered their logo in Gold 872, Silver 877 and we matched a Benjamin Moore paint swatch called Twilight Zone for the PMS of their darkest color.
Because of the small size of their vector artwork, Lawton Audio was able to fit dozens of rubdowns on a given 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of dry transfers, making their finished product more affordable. Then, using a burnisher tool, they applied our dry rub down transfers onto the finished wood surface of their headphones. They then finished the wood with lacquer again to protect their rubdowns, making our dry transfers fully permanent.

Hello!
I would like rub decal for my logo for make up brushes please.
Lyota, We can certainly create dry transfers you can apply to brush handles. Review our blog on applying to wood. You would need to spray them with clear lacquer or workable fixative after applied to make them more durable. We can even do foil transfers for you if that is the look you are trying to achieve. Call the studio or email at art@imagetransfers.net and we can advise you further.
Want to apply an organizations logo to a smooth(400 grit) oak turning. A plastic ca glue finish then applied in three thin coats then polished to 3000 grit. Projected quantities 500 to several thousand
Ernest, Some of our clients have used transfers on wood. We believe they would be perfect for your project. Happy to send you some samples if you want to email us your snail mail address to art@imagetransfers.com I hope we can work on this project with you. Luann
Want to print an organization’s logo on a thousand turned pens. The turnings are red oak sanded to 600 grit. After applying the logo, the ca glue finish goes on, then polished to a 12,000 grit . Would the logo bleed during application of the ca glue? The logo would be about the size of this printing, so an 81/2×12 sheet would make several hundred logos. Thank you for your help. Ernie White.
Ernest, Thank you for writing. I replied to your other comment. Our transfers can be used on wood. View our portfolio page to see the Lawton Headphones. They apply their logo art to the beautiful wood headphones they manufacture. Please get in touch with us for more info.
I would like information, suggestions, pricing on a dry transfer logo for my business “Dirty River Customs”. I build musical instruments and have been burning my images, but would like to explore other options.
Jason, We have clients that use our transfers for musical instruments including custom guitars. Transfers are lacquer ink with lacquer adhesive. Since adhesive is only on the image area, after applied, the artwork/logo will look like it is printed right on the surface you apply it to. For a more permanent solution we recommend coating the transfer with clear lacquer spray. We match to the Pantone Graphic palette but can do custom colors as well along with metallics and foils. Happy to send you samples if you want to email us your snail mail address art@imagetransfers.com
hi,
can you offer gold or metallic finishes?
thanks
Toby, Yes we can do custom dry transfers in Metallic and FOILS. We match to the Pantone Metallic palette and the Kurz and Crown Roll Leaf foil palettes. Pricing is detailed and published on our website for this service. If you have further questions just write or email. We hope we can work on this project with you.
Do you offer one off transfers? I’m doing a diy project and can not find the rub on transfer I want. Do you offer just one of something? Thanks!
Stacie, Our normal transfer run is ONE. Pricing is published on our website and is based on artboard size area. Clients usually gang-up/repeat their artwork to fill either letter, or 11×14 or tabloid size. That way you will have “extras” incase the first application doesn’t go perfectly. But our transfers are very easy to apply with just rubbing them onto the surface with a burnisher we supply. Vector artwork is best. If you need help with artwork or how to set up layout we can do that too. If you have further questions just email us at art@imagetransfers.com or call the studio at (212) 928-7987. We hope we can work on this project with you. Luann
